Lab Analysis

For the Lab in science we had to do alot of confusing things. First, we had to collect our toothpicks and sort them out into each color to check if we had 8 each. Next, we had to figure out which genotypes represented each color on a table. The lab took awhile to get used too but as it went on it seemed it got simply and easy to comprehend. We then had to answer a few questions on our lab packets that had something to do with the chart we filled in. After answering a few questions we had to pull out a pair of toothpicks without looking and put them out on the table. We then determined what the genotype was and put it in a table labeled first generation.

One of the things we had to pay alot of attention too was the yellow toothpicks. If we got a pair of both yellow toothpicks we had to put them in the "morgue" and set them aside. Then we pulled the second and third generation of toothpicks out of the cup. After completing this we had to answer a few more questions. The fourth generation was the trickiest. A natural disaster occurs and any green fish are eaten and taken out and placed in the morgue just like the green. After doing this we had a few more questions to answer and were finished.
